Where It All Began
The story of Kerasoft begins with Asha McLeod, a pioneer in textured hair education and one of the most respected voices in the professional hair industry. Originally from Trinidad and the Caribbean, Asha built her reputation working with the diverse range of hair textures found throughout the Caribbean before bringing her expertise to North America.
In the early 1980s, she opened Jazma Hair Salon, which quickly became known as a hub for advanced education, professional training, and innovative approaches to textured hair care.
Her work was featured in publications such as Vogue, Essence, Modern Salon, Passion, and American Salon, and she was recognized throughout the industry for her dedication to elevating textured hair care. But more importantly, she became known for something deeper: Helping people truly understand their hair.
The Birth of Kerasoft
Through years of working directly with clients and training professionals, Asha noticed a gap in the industry. Many products focused on temporary results, but few focused on long-term hair health. So she set out to create something different.
Kerasoft was developed as a science-driven approach to hair wellness, with formulas designed to strengthen, nourish, and support hair from the inside out. Instead of chasing trends, Kerasoft focused on building a foundation for healthier, more resilient hair over time.
